MICHAEL REID – CHAIRMAN AND CEO – REID ROBERTSON GROUP
Michael commenced his career with Perpetual Trustees in Sydney before moving to Brisbane in 1984. Since 1987 he has operated his own group of private family entities, developing interests in property, finance, technology, advertising, health, engineering and energy. In addition to 20 years’ experience in property finance, the majority as principal of Reid Robertson Finance, Michael undertook, as development manager and co-owner, numerous successful commercial property projects in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, including commercial high-rise refurbishments and residential developments. More recently the emphasis has been on engineering and energy, particularly in the successful development of a new renewable energy system, and in the development of a broad-based services group under the ClubMaster brand. Michael is a Member of the Executor and Trustee Institute.
SAMANTHA REID – CREATIVE DIRECTOR – REID ROBERTSON GROUP
Qualified in both accounting and psychology, Samantha has enjoyed a diverse and successful career in event management, training, marketing and HR management, in addition to operating her own book-keeping and psychology practices. Samantha brings a wealth of experience and insight to the Reid Robertson group, with an emphasis on website design and marketing support.
MARTY CALVERT – MANAGING DIRECTOR AND HEAD COACH – CALIBRE FUTSAL
With over 28 years’ experience in the sport of futsal, Marty brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his club Calibre Futsal, the official accreditation company for the FAF. Qualified as a player, coach, and referee, Marty and Calibre focus on coaching courses for trainers, coaches, referees, and elite players.
Marty first entered the spotlight as a 17 year old captaining the Under 18 Australian team where his squad was the first Australian team to win a game in Brazil. Marty toured Brazil again as captain of the Australian youth squad twelve months later and shortly thereafter was drafted into the Open Mens squad to play in the Mudialito on the beach in Rio de Janeiro. In 1996 Marty was a member of the Australian team that competed in the Futsal World Cup in Spain showing his class with a goal against Egypt. On the back of his international success, Marty also spent time playing for Bunga Melati in The Netherlands and training with the Dutch national squad. A 20 year State level coach in both New South Wales and Queensland, Marty is currently coaching the Queensland Open Mens team, regional director of South East Queensland Futsal, and a Board Member of FAF.
